One Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Tree In Area

One person was hospitalized over after losing control and crashing into a tree off the road of an intersection in Putnam County, officials said.

First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Archer and Wayacross roads shortly after 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, Mahopac Falls Fire Department Public Information Officer Jack Casey said.

Upon arrival, first responders proceeded to close the roadway, and the occupants of the vehicle, which had slid off the roadway at the intersection, were evaluated, with one transported to Hudson Valley Hospital for further treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police officers and fire crews investigated the crash before towing the vehicle off the side of the road and clearing the scene.
